The web is chockful of images of animals in the snow, but there's no harm in adding more to the heap. Here's Fenn, in her element. It's what Bernese Mountain dogs are made for. Snow, sharp cold air and someone or something to play with. Watching her zoom through the powder, creating her own mini mayhem, is a delight. She's happy as a Bernese Mountain dog in the snow.
The only peculiarity about the weather is that it makes the dogs more protective; I've heard more nuanced growling than usual when visitors and deliveries make their precarious way down the track.

When it's someone calling about double glazing or energy company switching you should tell Fenn to attack!
YP - I don't need to ask or tell - both big girls know what's required and I note the fear in the eyes and the notable retreat.
Oh now Fenn looks much better equiped to deal with the weather than our poor short-arse Mabel. When we had 8inches of fallen snow she had to bounce like bambi to get about! It's funny how the snow seems to make dogs of all breeds playful like pups again & it's a joy to watch them, bringing heart warming smiles in the chilly weather. :0)
Sara, she is finding the sheet ice a little easier than I am, but is still slipping around. Wish I had 4 paws.
Beautiful paws!
Beautiful everything WW!
