Bit of blatant self interest

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days; I was busy voting myself a £24k annual expense award. I put my hand up, but no-one seems to have sent me any forms to fill in. Do I need to become an MP first?

LOL! Yes, I fear you may have to! And it's not a job I would care to do... although £24k a year expenses does sound kinda tempting!

Yes indeed, wolves in charge of the sheep pen, that's what these MPs are.

Wish we could vote ourselves those kind of perks, although even I would be embarrassed by that sort of bare faced cheek.

Government owned flats would seem to be the answer; modest and equipped adequately and maintained by the state. You lose your job as MP and you still have your own home to go to and the flat becomes available for the next incumbent. Want a flashier interior design? Get your MP mates round for a painting party, your cost. Rich MP who can afford 2,3 or more homes? Well, you wont need the expenses anyway.

shades of the USSR? Oh me, oh my, heaven forbid our hard-working honest politicians...(your comment)

And I’ve just voted myself £24K for a little project too. Funny, but ours seem to be pipe dreams.
