Mopsa makes hay whilst the sun shines
Don't know what it is about hay but the dogs just adore it. They roll in it, burrow through it, toss it about and play with it. They drape it over their ears and stick their snouts deep into it. It's as if they inhale life, summer, pleasure and delight with every happy whiff. Puppy behaviour is at the fore. It's wonderful to watch and be part of.

I think I'd like to do all those things too - but boring old common sense gets in the way: itchy-scratchy, feel stupid, hay fever etc etc.
Glad the dogs are having fun anyway.
I think rolling in the hay for dogs is like the human version of kicking through autumn leaves - don't know why it's so good, it just is.
Well, well mopsa and fenn you great big silly things!
Looks mighty good stuff there though...
M'ear - I don't let any of that stop me - I just get down and roll! (But then my hay fever is very very mild - the dust gets up my snout).
SM - we should all roll in the hay once in a while.
Paula - it looks lovely, but will we gather it all up before the showers? Doubt it!
Hay Jude! Hay-hay we're the Monkees! Hay G Wells! Hay-on-Wye! Hay you get offa my cloud! Whay-hay!
Hay YP! It's quite obvious that someone is on holiday and in the groove (and it ain't me!).
Isn't it just? Mollie just LOVES it too!
