Mopsa is not a vain dog, although she is undeniably the most beautiful dog on the planet... (pause for remonstrations), so she wasn't bothered by a couple of eye warts. But then they started to scratch the surface of her eyeball and they had to come off.
Whilst under the double whammy of miraculous but ghastly anaesthetic, her teeth were seen to and one was removed with its associated epulis.
Poor old girl, it seems as though warty growths find you irresistable. But then, so do I. Even in a plastic Elizabethan ruff.

We call these contraptions "abat-jour" (lampshade). Belle had to wear one a few years ago and hated it. She kept crashing into things and could not manage the stairs.
She's a very dear dog. Maybe you could stick some lace around it?
Oh bless her heart! Dogs are so very special, no matter what they look like.
And the plastic collar wasn't the only Elizabethan accoutrement - they shaved off her eyebrows, just like Liz I.
Poor thing - It wouldn't be so bad if we could explain why. (Well, I suppose we can explain - but I don't think it makes dog-sense.) I don't expect she'll thank you either?
Poor Mopsa. But she still looks beautiful. Simi and I send hugs.
Get this damned thing off me or else... that tortoise has had it!
Beautiful despite the collar!
Thank you all for veing so sweet about Mopsa.
And we have another real Mopsa? A human Mopsa?? A wolf child? How wonderful.
